TOAD: February 1st, 2007: Karen and I started a tradition years ago of ordering in Thai food on Thursday nights. When we lived in Cobble Hill we would order from Joya and luckily they have a sister restaurant in Park Slope called Song so we can continue with our signature order: Fried Calamari + Pork and Vegetables in Ginger Sauce + Glass Noodles with Chicken. (sometimes we’ll sub in a Seafood in Red Curry dish). Joya/Song is really excellent Thai fare at exceptionally reasonable prices. Their delivery is prompt and the atmosphere if you eat-in is cool – lots of dark slate, open kitchen, local art on the walls and a DJ on weekends. All in all, one of the best all around deals in both Park Slope and Cobble Hill.

If you visit Cobble Hill’s Joya in the warm weather, you can enjoy your ginger-whatever out in the Ewok Village garden!
