TOAD: April 15th, 2007: Before this weekend’s torrential rain, Karen and I cleaned out the garden in preparation for our biggest goal of the spring: planting grass (and hopefully having it spring to life). We raked, weeded, cleaned, tossed and pruned our way through Saturday. We decided to hold off on planting seeds for fear that they would float away with all the oncoming rain. So far this looks like a great decision. Hopefully this weekend we can actually spread the seeds and get the growing underway. During a brief break in the rain I grabbed this photo of part of our yard – I really like how, despite how grey and wet it was that day, the colors in this photo feel especially vibrant.
