TOAD: April 19th, 2007: Last July, Karen and I moved from Cobble Hill to Park Slope and at first we were really bummed about the move since all of our favorite things were in Cobble Hill. Now after having been here for more than 6 months, I can say its really starting to feel like home. It’s amazing how quickly one can adjust to a situation and replace those meaningful things even though you feel at the time that they are irreplaceable. As of this point, the make-your-own salads and fresh smoothies from Nectar are the only thing that remain from Cobble Hill that we haven’t been able to find a suitable replacement for in Park Slope (note to self: might this be a good business opportunity?). One thing that we do have in Park Slope that has achieved that status is the Energy Cookie from Naidre’s on 7th Ave (Karen would probably go with their Cardamom Coffee). It’s like a giant crisp on the outside, yet gooey on the inside, filled with oats, raisins, and other deliciousness. If you’re in the neighborhood go and get one.
One special cookie
