TOAD: June 1st, 2007: On Friday, Karen and I hit up The Elephant in the East Village for some Thai food. We came away impressed. We had mussels steamed in a light curry sauce, some pring rolls, mu shu chicken (the best I have ever seen/tasted) and a grilled pork chop with mixed vegetables.
After dinner we met Micah at King’s Head for a quick beer before heading out on the L Train to Luna Lounge in Williamsburg to see Gabe’s band Monuments play. We hadn’t seen them play in a while and they sounded excellent. We also got to see Gabe’s dad who was in for the weekend. After the show, Karen, Micah and I hopped a cab back to the Slope and despite our desire to power through one more beer at Commonwealth, Karen and I went home and went to sleep.
Some great Thai food at The Elephant.
We saw a plate of these pass by and had to order some despite the fact that we had just gotten our giant bowl of light curry steamed mussels.
Would it be so so hard to get these going on more lines?
