TOAD: Aug. 25th, 2007: This guy’s head is way to small for his body, no?

TOAD: Aug. 26th, 2007: We’re trying to deal with our vine problem. These folks seem to have given up.

TOAD: Aug. 27th, 2007: Karen made something called Blueberry Buckle last weekend and it immediately vaults into the Top 5 most delicious desserts she’s ever made. Think: Crunchy, crumbly coffee cake top with a moist blueberry muffin bottom.

TOAD: Aug. 28th, 2007: Kip gave me a copy of this book when I got back from vacation. So far I’m loving it. Saw Sterling speak at SXSW and while it was enjoyable, I think I would have gotten a lot more out of it had I had the context of this book. Now I see why the nerds go bananas for him. His writing has also gotten me intrigued enough to give some science fiction-y writing a shot. Gibson’s Pattern Recognition is next on my reading list.

TOAD: Aug. 29th, 2007: This is what it looks like when you host a Fantasy Football draft – it’s like a Taqueria exploded on our kitchen counter. I have to say, though I made some seemingly strange picks, I feel more confident about my team than I ever have post-draft. I guess we’ll see if taking Peyton Manning with the 5th pick in the draft proves to be an error. How many points for being in a commercial?

TOAD: Aug. 30th, 2007: Got my passport renewed this summer. The photo on the left is from when I got my last passport before going to live in Sydney for a semester my junior year (1997). Note the earings and the wide-eyed un-jadedness of a college Junior.

TOAD: Aug. 31st, 2007: These are the massage places that really toe the line between acceptable and a little creepy. You get a massage in a room with 5 beds (occasionally occupied by others getting massages) and some C-List Enya music on the stereo. I went to this place years ago on the recommendation of a few people on my grad school alumni list and I recommend that if you’re going to give one of them a shot, a first hand account from someone you know couldn’t hurt.
