Since I have been a delinquent with this blog as of late, I am going to try an update Manlio style. So here goes!
In the last few weeks we have:
- Ran 18 Miles to Coney Island and back in 88 degree weather. It was terrible. Terrible. Terrible.
- Ran 16 Miles and then hopped on a plane to Atlanta for Jon’s wedding.
- Went to Jon’s wedding! See above. More photos to come soon.
- Happily ran another 18 miles in 60 degree weather. This worked out better than the first, partially due to the weather and partially due to location of the end of the run: the Farmer’s Market at Grand Army Plaza. Since it coincides with the last .5 miles, we quickly stretched, made a quick purchase and then completed the run with a jug of cider and brown bag full of donuts in hand.
- Lost three bocce matches in a row. Seriously. We have another game tonight and I think…we’re gonna bring it.
- Watched the Yankees lose the ALDS, just after losing our own bocce match.
- Then received mean text messages from my Ohio friends and their bug infested baseball stadium.
- It’s finally suitable fall weather here in NYC, which means boots! But guess what, thanks to all those aforementioned runs, they don’t fit around my Arnold Schwarzenegger calves.
While the guys might not think anything of this, girls don’t want massive calves.
- Watched The Lookout, starring the kid from Third Rock from the Sun. This movie was surprisingly really good considering that fact.
- And finally, have watched two episodes of the second season of Friday Night Lights. A whole post is needed to discuss this…
So stay tuned!
