Less than two weeks away…

And we are falling apart!

Earlier this week while moving something, Alex sprained his ankle. It seems to be getting slightly better, but with less than two weeks before he has to run 26.2 miles, he really needs to be fully recovered. He’s been religiously practicing R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate) and started to add some heat yesterday, but it’s been a slow recovery. It’s also only Wednesday, so hopefully I am just freaking out, which I very well may be because…

This morning I woke up with the all too familiar feeling of an oncoming cold. You know what I am talking about. It’s not fully here yet, but my head hurts and my sinuses are unhappy and I keep sniffling and freaking out. So I ran out and bought a bunch of cold remedies, including the new Hot Apple Cider flavored Airborne (maybe there is a silver lining in this story!). I’m going to start bulking up on this stuff, along with sleep, soup, juice, and every herb and vitamin that pretends to be helpful in building up your immune system.

In the meantime, I keep walking around work not wanting to touch anything, like the banister, but then I fear I am going to fall down the stairs and sprain my ankle if I don’t. It’s a disaster. Then I run to wash my hands for the 30th time in the last hour. This morning I clorox wiped all the common handles in my office, my desk, the mice. Pretty much everything.

This marathon is making me KRAZY!

emergen-C! I swear by it. Get the immune defense variety - Ruby Lemon Honey flavor. I can't tell you what the hell kind of flavor 'Ruby' is, but I really think the stuff works.
