Less Annoying than Twitter

In an effort to post more about what’s going on with us day to day, Alex and I discussed the idea of ripping off one of Manlio’s post styles and will start posting something like random thoughts, but not named that. Sara suggested “less annoying than twitter” and I kind of like that so we’ll try it for this first post. Since it’s one of my favorite posts on Manlio’s site, I thought maybe y’all would enjoy it too. At least our Moms will.

Tonight we are taking a cooking class from Home Cooking. This was a wedding gift courtesy of Dennis and Kevin and we are finally getting around to taking it. A chef is coming to our apartment and will teach us how to make some weekday dinners. I think we’ll either slay this class or actually learn we don’t have knife cutting skills.

I just finished Things I Learned About my Father in Therapy which is a booked edited by Heather Armstrong, author of dooce.com, a site I love. I talk about her, her family and her dogs to Alex as though they are our next door neighbors. “Dooce’s dog Coco only weighs 25 lbs. Can you believe that?” He can’t. Anyway, the book is a great collection of essays written by various bloggers and it wasn’t a total downer as the title may suggest. Any time I told someone what I was reading people would look at me, raise their eyebrows and say “Oh?..”

I realized today that we are totally booked three of four weekends in June, which makes getting my classwork done on the weekends somewhat difficult. I suppose I should stop watching so much “So You Think You Can Dance.” during the week but I won’t because I. LOVE. THAT. SHOW.

And that’s all for our first edition of “less annoying than twitter”!

wow. we're soul mates, Karen. I freaking love the dancing show, which is what I call it. I was walking to work today thinking how much I love the show, and how I don't even feel bad about it, even though I think Wes thinks I should. Tonight the auditions are in DC!!!
  • maybe we should change to slightly less annoying than twitter. oh yeah, i rocked the HTML. sure did.
