A Street Fair for Foodies

As we’ve said before, the 5th avenue street fair in Park Slope is one of the best street fairs in NYC. It’s not of these zeppolle, mozzareppa disgustingness street fairs (well, it is a little bit, but not totally), it’s a street fair for people who love food. And thanks to all the great restaurants on 5th ave. who participate in the event, this year’s edition was no different.

Alex and I were able to throw back one empanada, a dozen oysters, two sushi hand rolls, half a dozen ribs, two beers, and two lobster rolls. In about an hour. That may sound disgusting to some, but to us, it was a delightful cruise down 5th ave and back home (where we quickly fell asleep). Elise, of course, slept through the entire event. You might be able to spy her in the photo below hiding behind a bag of chips.

Here’s Alex enjoying our final meal of the fair——a lobster roll form the Red Hook Lobster Pound.
